This pineapple jam is made using high-quality peach pineapples from Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture.
We use a generous amount of peach pineapple, a very popular fresh fruit, to create a flavor that allows you to really taste the fruit pulp.
The average temperature on Ishigaki Island is 2°C higher than on Okinawa's main island, at around 24°C. This 2°C difference significantly enhances the sweetness of the pineapple.
Furthermore, pineapples require well-drained, acidic soil known as "red soil" to grow. Ishigaki Island, which has high-quality acidic soil even within Okinawa Prefecture, is well suited to growing pineapples.
Because it takes two years to grow and harvest in such an environment, the pineapples grow into incredibly juicy, delicious pineapples with a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness that cannot be replicated by pineapples from other regions.
Please enjoy this jam made with pineapples that have been bathed in the sun's bounty.
It goes well with yogurt, bread, and crackers, and can also be used to make sweets.
